Career Changed Puppies 2001

Hutch

Don't let her small size fool you, fifth grader-to-be, Marcie Province knows how to train dogs. Hutch is her first guide dog puppy, but she has worked for over a year with several older dogs in the Carson City club. Hutch will be attending Seeliger Elementary School with Marcie, Eagle Valley Middle School with mom and the LDS Church with dad. He will become a very well-rounded guide dog puppy.

Jabir

With daughter Michelle going off to college, Becky Friend will be raising guide dog puppy #7 Jabir by herself. Brother of Jigsaw and son of Klondike, Jabir has a promising future.

Some little puppies grow-up to become big boys. Fourteen weeks and 14 months old.

Jigsaw

On the very day they drove Kade back to San Rafael, Claudia & Warren Wish picked up Jigsaw guide dog puppy #14. Jigsaw is another offspring of Klondike. The Carson City group has had tremendous success raising Klondike puppies. Along with brother Jabir, the future looks promising.

Kirstin

Katelyn McDowell loves little puppies. Her fourth guide dog puppy 'Kirstin' is a real cuddle puppy. This time puppy raising will be a partnership with her dad, Alvin. Dad loves taking guide dog puppies to his engineering job and the firm has made puppy visits part of his job description.

Wiley

Hi, I'm Wiley. I'm being held by my raiser Marcie Province. That's right, I'm the cuddly ball of fur. I'm Marcie's second guide dog puppy. Both Marcie and I will be attending summer school at Eagle Valley Middle School in Carson City. It's a family thing. Marcie's mom is a teacher and her older sister will be a teaching assistant. While Marcie works on her math, I'll be Mr. Loveable.
